President Washizu of Johnson Company, Limited Visits Mayor to Donate Money for Establishment of Yokohama Children Sports Foundation
The president of Johnson Company, Limited (headquartered in Naka Ward, Yokohama) paid a visit to Ms. Fumiko Hayashi, Mayor of Yokohama City, to donate money for the establishment of the Yokohama Children Sports Foundation, an organization aimed at supporting the creation of an environment that helps children in the city grow up with dreams and hopes through sports.
This Foundation is run by a committee consisting of academic pundits and other experts led by the Yokohama Sports Association that plays a major role in the city's sports administration.
It was founded because of World Triathlon Yokohama.
About the Yokohama Children Sports Foundation
The Yokohama Children Sports Foundation was founded to create an environment where children, especially those with disabilities, could participate in sports activities in local communities, in order to help them grow up with dreams and hopes through sports.
To achieve this goal, the Foundation provides opportunities for children to watch sporting events held in Yokohama and interact with athletes, hosts related events and supports projects, events and other activities conducted by local organizations through donations, aid funds, etc. It also seeks to promote sports for the disabled and other sports activities.
