Press release on the establishment of the Yokohama Children Sports Foundation
The president of Johnson Company, Limited (headquartered in Naka Ward, Yokohama) paid a visit to Ms. Fumiko Hayashi, Mayor of Yokohama City, to donate money for the establishment of the Yokohama Children Sports Foundation, an organization aimed at supporting the creation of an environment that helps children in the city grow up with dreams and hopes through sports.
Participation in the paraaquathlon race at the 4th Yokohama Seaside Triathlon competition
Four children (and four guides) took part in the paraaquathlon race at the 4th Yokohama Seaside Triathlon competition held at Hakkeijiama Sea Paradise in Yokohama, Kanagawa, on September 29 (Sunday). All of them crossed the finish line.
Sports exchange with professional athletes (Yokohama F-Marinos)
We invited about 150 children with disabilities (including caretakers) to a soccer game between Yokohama F-Marinos and Nagoya Grampus Eight at Nissan Stadium on November 10 (Sunday). During the pre-game period on the day, the children attended a soccer lesson and interacted with the players.
33th Yokohama Marathon
Children with disabilities supported runners of the Yokohama Marathon race by serving at water supply points. These kids gave out the prize for participation at the main venue of the race in Yamashita Park and interacted with citizens who took part in this event.
Watching a soccer game at the regional headquarters of Shinohara School Supporters
Children enjoyed watching a soccer game and interacted with players at the regional headquarters of Shinohara School Supporters (a group led by Shinohara Junior High School catering to children with disabilities in primary schools, junior high schools and special schools for the disabled).
