Interchange Event Project
Project overview
The Interchange Event project is intended to help build an environment that makes it easier for children with disabilities to take part in sports.
The project creates opportunities to feel the joy of playing sports and share moving moments of sports experience by inviting disabled children to participate in sporting events, such as recreational sports that participants can enjoy as appropriate for their degree of disability, together with their parents, supporters and general participants.
Planned events
- Invitation to sporting events hosted by the Yokohama Sports Association and other organizations
- Exchanges with futuro Yokohama F. Marinos, a soccer team of players with disabilities ("futuro" is the Spanish word meaning future.)
- Hands-on experience of Paralympic events (Planned events include triathlon, table tennis and swimming.)
- Hands-on experience of serving as supporting staff at sporting events
