Ai Ueda Sends Cheers to Participants in Paraaquathlon Race at 4th Yokohama Seaside Triathlon

At the 4th Yokohama Seaside Triathlon competition that took place at Hakkeijiama Sea Paradise in Yokohama, Kanagawa, on September 29 (Sunday), a paraaquathlon race was held with the cooperation of the Foundation. Four children (and four guides) took part in the race, and all of them crossed the finish line.

After the race, we held a talk show featuring Ms. Ai Ueda, who had drawn an illustration for the Foundation.

Ms. Ueda told the audience that she had drawn the illustration and that it reflects her empathy for the Foundation. The Olympian also said she hoped that children would aim to compete in the Tokyo 2020 Olympics and Paralympics by utilizing this Foundation. Her passionate encouragement towards the kids attending the talk show drew a lot of applause and cheers from the crowd.
